  SECTION III — PRIVACY (MASTER PRIVACY STATEMENT)

  1. Principles & Legal Basis

  – Data processing will comply with Ghana’s Data Protection Act (Act 843) and applicable international law. KOWEAR GROUP follows the principles of lawfulness, purpose limitation, data minimization, accuracy, storage limitation, integrity, and confidentiality.

  2. Data Collected

  – Types: registration data, contact details, transaction and billing data, activity logs, device/browser metadata, content provided by users, and KYC/identity data when required.

  – Activity logs and admin tools may capture IP address, timestamps, actions, and user agent for security and audit.

  3. Cookies & Tracking

  – Cookies and tracking technologies are used; details and opt-outs are published at koware.org/privacy.

  4. Third-Party & Embedded Content

  – Embedded third-party content may collect data independently. KOWEAR GROUP will disclose third-party processing and contractually require appropriate safeguards.

  5. CommunityArchitect.com (Jewel Onboarding)

  – CommunityArchitect.com is used only for Jewel onboarding and only the minimum onboarding data necessary is processed there. The primary data controller and privacy authority remains koware.org.

  6. Data Subject Rights

  – Users may access, rectify, erase, restrict processing, object to processing, and request portability where lawful. Requests are handled per the process published at koware.org/privacy.

  7. Retention & Deletion

  – Data is retained only as necessary for legal, tax, security, or business purposes. Inactive accounts may be retained for up to three years unless law requires otherwise.

  8. Cross-Border Transfers & Safeguards

  – Cross-border transfers follow lawful mechanisms (e.g., contractual clauses, adequate jurisdiction determinations). Notices and safeguards are maintained on the Privacy Statement.

  9. Security & Breach Response

  – KOWEAR GROUP applies reasonable technical and organizational measures. Users must also protect their credentials. Breach notifications will be made per applicable law.

  10. Contact & Data Protection Officer

  – Privacy contact is listed at koware.org/privacy. For legal requests, IAPD National acts as administrative contact for data inquiries.
