RSVSR Dust on the Wires Where to Go in Arc Raiders
“Dust on the Wires” is one of those ARC Raiders jobs that sounds easy until you’re halfway through Spaceport with half the lobby on your back. Shani gives it to you in Speranza, and the whole thing has to be cleared in one run, which is where most people get burned. If you’re already thinking about route planning, meds, and whether it’s worth bringing extra ammo or saving room for ARC Raiders Coins later, you’re looking at it the right way. This mission isn’t about farming kills. It’s about staying alive long enough to follow the trail, grab the final evidence, and actually make it out.
Start at the Field Depot
First step is simple, at least on paper. Spawn into Spaceport and move toward the eastern side of the map until you find a Field Depot. These buildings are hard to miss once you know the look: small footprint, big antenna, usually exposed enough that you’ll want to check sightlines before jogging in. Inside, there’s a field radio terminal. Interact with it and send the scout team’s last message back to Shani. That part updates the quest and points you toward the next location. Don’t hang around after that. A lot of players waste time looting nearby crates, then get pinched by another squad rotating through.
Climb the Raider Tower
After the radio log is sent, head west toward the Maintenance Hangar. The key detail here is that you don’t need to enter the hangar yet. Instead, look north of it for the old Raider Tower. You’ll need to climb to the top, and yeah, it takes a moment, so listen for footsteps on the way up. At the top you’ll find another terminal. Hack that one and the quest pushes forward again, giving you the next set of coordinates. It’s a good checkpoint mentally, but not a safe one. Once you’re done, get down quickly and avoid picking fights you don’t need. People love to camp around major landmarks, and this area gets messy fast.
Find the wreckage on the road
From the tower, loop around to the southwest side of the Maintenance Hangar and watch the road closely. You’re looking for clear signs that the patrol didn’t make it far: overturned carts, scattered debris, stuff that looks wrong even from a few metres away. Walk up and use the prompt to transmit the location. That reveals what happened with the patrol’s orders, and it also means you’re very close to the item that matters. Just a little farther down the same road, near a barrel and some old tarps, you’ll find the scouts’ remains. Loot the Scout Patrol Note from the body. If you’ve got a safe pocket augment, use it right away. Honestly, this is the kind of quest item you protect before you even think about searching anything else.
Leave immediately and finish it properly
Once the note is in your inventory, that’s your signal to stop messing about and head for extraction. Don’t take the scenic route, don’t chase shots, and don’t convince yourself one more container is worth it. The mission only counts if you extract with the note, then bring it back to Shani in Speranza. Hand it over and you’ll get the Fax Machine backpack charm, plus access to the next step in her story. It’s not the flashiest reward in the game, sure, but the real win is getting this headache of a quest off your log and moving on, maybe while you check where to buy cheap ARC Raiders Coins if you’re gearing up for the next run.
